All elk hunts at High Adventure Ranch are done by the Spot and Stalk technique. 95% of the over 5 square miles of property at High Adventure Ranch is densely wooded with timber, thick cover, and many rolling hills. This terrain makes for a demanding hunt on the ground! The majority of shots are taken within 100 yards. There is often the opportunity for lengthy shots in some of our open pastures. Our guides are all local men with hunting backgrounds on this type of terrain and land. You can also invite a hunting companion or Non-hunter to either video archive or take photos of your successful elk hunt. Also, if you have any particular needs, we can assist you in the field and also back at camp.
After the harvest, step back and watch our guides take care of the field dressing, skinning, and cleaning of your elk. If you have full meat processing with your package, it will be hand cut, vacuum sealed, labeled and kept in the walk in cooler until you depart. Caping is also available by your guide for an extra cost. We can also make arrangements wiht a local taxidermist for you.
